Welcome to Our Website
A Park is not just a piece of land it is a vibrant part of a community, it is a source of pride and allows us to connect with the natural beauty around us.
In our website/blog we plan to discuss some of the pressing issues regarding our Parks, the challenges they face and the opportunities for us to work together to preserve and enhance these valuable assets. We need to think about our future and remember the Greek Proverb that a society grows great when we plant trees under whose shade we will not sit.
Particularly we will discuss what is necessary to have a successful and healthy park system; why are parks important; what are the threats to Parks; why do we need to invest in Parks, Trails and natural resources for the future; how do we connect our Parks and Trails through a network of green gems; what are challenges at the local, county, state and national levels. The comments in this website are my own and are not directly those of other organizations.
